For decades I lived with the lie that I was too broken for love. I thought I had to quarantine myself from others and it stole years of love and joy from my life.

The lie that you’re too broken for love swirls around in your head, too?

I see you–I see the ways you’ve had to make yourself small, pour energy into reading the room and shape-shifting to keep the peace. I see how exhausted you are from triggers plunging you and your partner into conflicts that feel like ground hog day. Your nervous system feels like it’s fraying.

You just want your trauma to stop sabotaging your life and relationships.

I’m glad you’re here because working with me is all about untangling yourself from these lies and creating enough safety in your life and relationships that you can step into this world as the compassionate, loving, radiant person you are.

The work we will do together will allow you to show up in your life and relationships in ways you can celebrate–not because you are a different person, but because you are no longer someone just trying to survive.

You’ll be centered, grounded, confident, fiercely compassionate, and fully alive.

I hope you never give up on your desire to feel fully seen and embraced by the people in your life.

Because while trauma taught you that you could only have one, the truth is, you are so lovable exactly as you are today.

Your healing work isn’t a prerequisite for being lovable.

Your healing work is for you–to give you the chance to see who you really are when you come out from under all the trauma.

You desperately want freedom from the trauma, shame, distrust, and self-sabotage that keep getting between you and a connected relationship. Your trauma taught you that you are too broken to belong and be loved. You tried to develop close relationships, only to find that your trauma seems to sabotage your attempts at connecting with others. You want to feel stable in your relationships and have a thriving, intimate relationship with your partner.  You want to be able to love yourself and receive the love that is around you.

Don’t give up on these desires. They are not fantasies. They can become your reality.

When we experience trauma sabotaging us day after day, we become terrified of triggers and emotions. Together, we will learn how to lean into those triggers and emotions as guideposts guiding your way back home to yourself.

Your emotional wounds, transformed, will create opportunities for the connection you long for. Together, we will help you heal these deeper wounds, restore your relationships, and create lasting change.

Here, at Embodied & Embraced Psychotherapy, I provide Couples, Individual, & Adventure Therapy in Summit County and Online in Colorado to give you embodied experiences that heal your trauma and restore your relationships.

Christie Morgan, Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, who offers trauma-informed couples and individual therapy, focused therapy intensives, and healing wilderness experiences.

Hi, I’m Christie.

Pronouns: she/her/hers

I’m a relational trauma therapist, who is passionate about being that person in your corner, helping you break free from your trauma, restore your relationships, and experience a deep sense of belonging.

I believe that safe, compassionate relationships are powerful tools for healing. You can expect our sessions to be warm, compassionate spaces where you feel seen and known. I may tear up with you–not from a place of overwhelm, but from a place of feeling deeply with you. I’m human, and I believe that experiencing someone who is genuinely connected to your experience is part of the healing work.

You can also expect me to be honest and straightforward with you when I see you showing up in ways that work against you. I’m warm, but I also have mama bear energy. I’m in your corner and am committed to seeing you come fully alive again.

My goal is for our sessions to be safe spaces for you to try out new ways of being in this world without the risks that come from trying it out for the first time in real life. I model that safety for you and your relationship until you can take it on as your own.

There is not a single part of you that is too broken or “too far gone." Whether you struggle with C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, a personality disorder, or relationship issues, I am ready to support you in healing these wounds and restoring your relationships.

Let’s have a conversation and talk about how I can support you on this journey.

I believe healing happens when we give ourselves opportunities to put insight into action.

If you’re wanting to heal your past, reconnect with your true self, and restore your relationships, in an embodied way, you’re in the right place.

You are worthy of love and belonging just as you are.

Yet your nervous system has learned something different, and no convincing will teach it otherwise.

It has to experience a new normal until it knows it to be true.

That’s what we get to do together. We get to give your nervous system enough experiences of connection and safety until it is ready to emerge from the old patterns and embrace a new normal.

Trauma does not disqualify you from having meaningful relationships and a deep connection with yourself.
